Our High School

Recently, in the newspaper, an article was published in the Journal Inquirer discussing the bullying in East Hartford High School.

EH disagrees with student letter, refuses to publish it in the high school paper
Go there. Read it if you haven't read it yet. The school won't publish it, so I'll spread it.

I totally agree with this letter. I think that the staff and administrators are more worried about students wearing ID's or that their are in compliance with the dress code than they are about students getting bullied on. They are more worried about everyone getting to class on time than they are whether a student is passing English class and can write using proper grammar or not.

It's ridiculous.

And for Mr. Jordon to claim that the letter was inaccurate and that there were better things going at the school, is totally wack. The letter was completely accurate, and he's just in denial. What was said is true. And, if he believes there are better things going on this school, then why didn't he go on and say what they were? Yea, that's because there aren't. Yes, there are some good things going on this school, but that bad, in my opinion, far outweighs the good.

Tell me what you think.

Side Note: Do NOT publish a comment under here saying "You are wrong" or "This is stupid." Please put your honest opinion, but do not disrespect others' opinions in any way.

  • Yes. Joe, I totally agree. The teachers have joined in, take for example, our E Period teacher. That teacher is probably worse than anyone on our team. And, sadly enough, he's probably the best on the issue out of all the teachers in our school, which goes to show a lot.

  • alright, just because you said it in your blog...keith you are so wrong and this is stupid =P lol justkidding..i totally agree and i think that article should have been printed, alot of bullies need to read that. A lot of us are "ranked" on for stupid things like being short, or even just being white. and i hate it, i absolutely hate our school. i honestly do not feel safe in our school anymore, and that really bothers me! lol but im glad i have you keith to make my day just so much better! love ya sunshine!! keitheroni!! lol

p.s do you know who wrote that letter?

  • their reasoning was that it named teachers...i think that some of these kid's teachers realized what he was talking about and got mad. it never named any faculty or students in that letter, rendering the censorship rediculous, just making them look defensive. nice topic, good that ur not letting ur journal become a burnbook.
